Two Ways to Order a Custom Cake
a little more about our most exclusive offering
Over the years, something wonderful has happened. Clients who ordered their wedding cake from me came back for their baby's first birthday. Then their anniversary, then milestone birthdays through the years. Some of you have been with me for over a decade, and it's been so special for me to be a part of your life's events!
As Bake My Day has grown, I never wanted to lose that. So we built Bespoke Cakes, a new way to order that still gives you the same close, personal experience you've always received at Bake My Day from me, even as our little studio keeps growing.
Here's how it works. You select your preferred pick up or delivery date along with a bit about your vision. We then build your custom quote, based on your serving count and the level of detail in your design. Once your deposit is paid, your date is locked in and the real fun begins, bringing your celebration to life.
This offering is intentionally small. We only take on a limited number of Bespoke orders each month, because every one of these cakes gets my full attention and care. The calendar availability is your first step in submitting a request, because we want you to know if we have a spot on your preferred date. I've spent over 15 years perfecting this craft, and I'm proud to say Bake My Day has been recognized as one of Calgary's top cake studios, again and again.

Fulfillment: Pickups are from our Calgary studio (1109 8 St SE) during our retail fulfillment hours. Delivery may be requested for an additional fee depending on distance and calendar availability.
Frequently Asked Questions about Custom Cakes
What's the difference between the Online Shop and Bespoke Designs?
Our Online Shop is perfect for cakes under $500 that need 3-14 days notice, you'll browse ready-to-customize designs and book instantly online. Bespoke Designs are for larger, more intricate creations with a $500 minimum and 4 weeks notice, starting with a date reservation followed by a personalized quote and design consultation.
How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
It depends on the path! Online Shop items need 3-14 days notice depending on the design. Bespoke Designs require a minimum of 4 weeks, and since spots are limited each month, we always recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend dates.
Can you recreate a design I found online or made with AI?
If it's one of our previous designs, absolutely! Every cake and decor element is handmade though, so it will always differ slightly from cake to cake. We're happy to use other cake artists' work as inspiration, but we don't copy designs exactly, our goal is always to make your cake even better than your inspo photo. For AI-generated images specifically, these often include details that aren't achievable in real cake, so we'll use them as a starting point for the conversation rather than a blueprint.
Can I request a custom flavour combination?
Our flavours have been developed and refined over many years, so we don't offer fully custom flavour combinations. That said, we release new feature flavours every season, so there's always something new to try! If there's a past flavour you loved that's no longer on the current menu, ask us, we may be able to bring it back for an additional fee.
