We offer fully bespoke wedding cakes, small cutting cakes, and dessert tables.

I've always been drawn to weddings. They are the BEST day, bringing together a couple's family and friends to celebrate love. And to me, sharing a meal and a piece of cake is a very important part of that ceremony!

Food unites us as a community. Making wedding cakes allows me to learn about a couple's story and style, then express it in a beautiful and delicious showpiece at their reception.

Wedding FAQ

How far in advance should I book?

Our busiest wedding season is June - September. For events during this time, we recommend booking 7-10 months in advance to ensure we have your date available.

During other times of the year, 4-6 months is recommended.
We can certainly accommodate with less notice if we have availability! So please reach out and we can talk more details and let you know.

Do you offer delivery and set-up?

Yes! We are happy to deliver your wedding order and set it up for you. We deliver to any venue in Calgary, Okotoks, Cochrane, Canmore, Kananaskis, Banff and beyond! We are happy to discuss this during your consultation.

Set up includes displaying the cake and/or mini desserts on the cake table at your venue. It does not include any rentals.

Can I pick up my order instead?

Absolutely! If you would rather pick up your wedding order and set it up yourself or have a trusted friend do this for you, you can pick up your desserts either the day you need it or the day before. We will provide cake care instructions! Orders can be picked up at our Cake Studio: 1109 8 St SE

Pick up is not recommended for large orders or cakes over 2 tiers.

Do you have stand rentals?

We sure do! We have an extensive inventory of stands you can use for your cake and dessert table. We are happy to provide a brochure as part of your quote. Most stands have a $25 rental fee.

Do you just make wedding cakes?

We are happy to talk about all your dessert needs! We have worked with couples to provide full dessert buffets, cupcakes, mini-cakes, mini-desserts, and wedding favours.

You can see our mini dessert offerings here:

How much cake do I need?

When other desserts are served, we recommend having enough cake for 60-70% of your guests.

If cake is the main dessert, you'll want enough servings for all guests, and maybe some extra!

How many cupcakes do I need?

When other desserts are served we suggest:

Regular cupcakes: 1-2 per guest

Mini cupcakes: 2-3 per guest

How many flavours can I pick?

For the cake, each tier can be a different flavour.

For cupcakes and mini desserts, we recommend a maximum of 3-4 different flavours.

Fondant vs. Buttercream

It depends on the design and style of cake that you want, as to whether fondant or buttercream will work better.  With buttercream we can do some really cool textures and incorporate some colours into the design. Buttercream you can also get a really nice clean, smooth finish. Fondant provides a very smooth matte finish, that allows for very dark colours, embossed textures, fine details. It also holds up to heat better.  If we do fondant, it's a thin layer overtop of our delicious buttercream.

Cake Care

Our cakes keep best in the fridge but taste best at room temperature. When we arrive to set up your wedding, the cake arrives chilled. It can then sit at room temp at your venue until it is cut and served.

If your reception is outside, please ensure the cake table is not in direct sunlight.

We can discuss delivery/set up timing depending on your specific needs during your consultation.

Tiered cakes are divided with a board and supporting dowels. Some decorations have internal supports such as skewers or wires, so take care when you are cutting the cake or eating the decorations. If your cake has fresh flowers, they are not edible. Please remove them before cutting the cake.
