We are currently hiring for the following positions:
- full time baker/cake decorator
- part time baking assistant

At Bake My Day, we pride ourselves on creating delicious, beautifully crafted cakes that bring joy to our community. As a small, locally owned cake studio, we highly value our team members. We are looking for talented individuals to join us in making Calgary a little sweeter! 

Full Time Baker + Decorator

30-40 hrs/week

Shifts are scheduled Tuesday - Saturday between 7am - 5pm, depending on weekly needs.

We strive to maintain a regular weekly schedule for all employees.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in baking cakes, cookies, cupcakes in a professional production setting.

• Proven experience in cake decorating, including working with fondant, gumpaste figurines + flowers, and buttercream piping.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high end products.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Physical endurance - baking requires standing for long periods, lifting, and carrying ingredients and heavy cakes, repetitive motions, and fine precision hand movements.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake cake batters, cookie doughs, fillings, and icings.

• Fill and mask cakes, ensuring even layers and a straight, level product.

• Decorate cupcakes, cookies, mini desserts.

• Craft fondant figures and details.

• Decorate pre-designed cakes and custom orders as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.

• Assist customers with pick ups and deliveries

Part Time Baking Assistant:

- part time - 14-28 hrs/week, depending on production needs for the week

- shifts are scheduled between Tuesday - Saturday 8am - 4pm, there is some room for a flexible schedule/reduced hours as needed

- we are a small team, so the role is dynamic, but main tasks would be:

- mixing batters, icings, fillings

- baking cakes, cookies, cupcakes, mini desserts

- filling + masking cakes

- some cake, cupcake, and cookie decorating

- packaging orders

- assisting customers

- full health benefits are offered after 3 months probation - available to employees who maintain over 20/hrs per week​​

At Bake My Day we embrace a collaborative, team-centric mindset. In order to do so we must work together to complete various tasks. To ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, it is the responsibility of all team members to maintain cleanliness and organization. Team members are required to interact with customers in a warm and professional manner. Team members may also be asked to do supply runs, help with deliveries, and work occasional evenings/weekends helping with event set ups.
